The Constellation was once Omega’s flagship model.
A contemporary to the original Speedmaster, Seamaster, Railmaster and DeVille collections, the 'Connie' was an elevated choice, offering Omega's finest, award-winning precision movements with high-concept design execution and materials. Over the years Omega has produced innumerable Constellation models, with a wide variation in case shape and dial design.
This example, a Reference 131.25.29.20.52.001, is a contemporary model from their current collection and uses an integrated case and bracelet style that draws its inspiration from the iconic 1970s watch design so highly coveted by collectors. To this day, the Constellation serves as a bridge between a pure dress watch — as the Constellation was originally intended — and a sporty, more luxurious timepiece.
This model offers a 29mm stainless steel case trimmed with Omega's proprietary Sedna gold elements including a diamond set bezel, signed crown and column fixtures along its case flanks. It comes fitted to an integrated multi-link bracelet with Sedna gold mid-links and a signed deployant clasp.
Powered by Omega’s self-winding Calibre 8700 movement, time and date are read with luminous 'lance' hands in gold against a 'frost' textured white dial with applied diamond indices ring with Sedna gold surrounds and a framed date aperture at 6 o’clock.
Simply exquisite.
In unworn condition and offered with its complete original set, this piece combines pedigree and performance into a sublime and dazzling timepiece.
